After purchasing an LCD monitor, I am noticing a large (4inchish) horizontal "scrolling" bar...?
The bar appears on the screen when viewing black or dark games/movies, etc. It rolls from top to bottom and is not very visible during very light activity... however, it is quite aggravating during darker ones.
We have moved telephones, clocks, and subwoofer/speakers away from the monitor and still experience this problem.
Does anyone have an idea as to what may be causing this?
This sounds like either the backlight is bad or the LCD inverter is bad. Either way, take it back now if under warranty. This will not fix itself but just get worse.
