I have a Boss RT435 300 x2 watts (bridged to 600 watts) running my M.A. Audio subs and im looking for an amp that sounds good with a lot of BASS with wired remote control. They're compitition subs so i know they hit harder then what there running right now. I was thinking about getting a 1200 watt monoblock or 2-channel amp. Looking for one less than 100 bucks. Found plenty of them on websites but not sure what to get. Help me out and let me know.
Sounds like you may have the boss rt-345. It may advertise 600w, but it uses a 15A fuse so it probably produces 200w rms or less. It is well known that boss is less than honest about their power ratings. A lot of low end companies are like that.
You won't find a true 1200w for $100, although you'll find plenty that advertise it.
One of the best buys I'm aware of right now is from audiopipe. They have a 1 ohm stable sub amp for $140 shipped that will do around 1000w rms. Your subs would need to be dual 4 ohm voice coils to be wired for 1 ohm, and be capable of handling around 500w rms.
You will need to provide the model of your MA's in order for someone to determine specifically what type of amp and how much power will work best with them.
FWIW - amp's really don't have much effect on sounding good or producing a lot of bass. They simply provide the power. Sound quality and bass is determined by your speakers/subs and the enclosure the sub is in.
