Should I buy this amp for my subs? Im not good when it comes to any kind of audio. Thanks.?
I have jbl gt4-12 subs they are 1000 watts and 250 rms for each sub. The amp im looking at right now is MTX Thunder 6500D Amp. And what is a Farad digital power capacitor? Should I get one of those?
basically you can mix and match any amp and speaker, the specs are what you have to watch. all amps are rated for peak power per channel, but the continuous power output is whats important, the continous power output must be equal or greater than rms of the speaker to work properly. so your speaker is made for an amp with at least 250w continous but no more than 1000w peak, i would also check on series and parallel wiring diagrams for speakers if you are doing it yourself.
