What kind of fuse holder do I need for a JBL Amp (787 watts RMS at 4 ohms) and two 12'' Rockford P3's?
I have a JBL Amp GTO 1201.1 II . (787 watts RMS at 4 ohms.) I have two 12'' Rockford P3's ( 500 watts RMS each). I was using an ANL fuse holder with 60 amp fuses. It worked the first time I got it installed. The next day it blew. Now, when I replace the fuse then start my car, the fuse immediately blows. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
approx 790 watt draw / 13.8 volts = 57.2 amp draw.
8ga wires the min. Id recommend 4ga with an 80amp fuse. Should also allow you for an upgrade later on.
